* Patient referred for thyroidectomy
* Agreement to use contraception prior to and during the study
Exclusion Criteria:
* Hypercalcemia (\>10.5mg/dL)
* Chronic kidney or parathyroid disease
* Cardiac or Central Nervous System disease
* Pregnant or breastfeeding women
