* Mechanical ventilation more than 48 hours.
* Included during the first 24 hours of mechanical ventilation.
Exclusion Criteria:
* Less than 18 years old
* Pregnant patients
* Do-not-resuscitate orders
* Admitted for organ donation
* Chest tubes with suspected bronchopleural fistula.
