* Participant with documented atrial fibrillation (confirmed by electrocardiogram) in the hospital setting at the time of enrollment
* Planned cardioversion (of atrial fibrillation)
Exclusion Criteria:
* Already enrolled in this or any other clinical trial
* Atrial flutter
