* Adults patients underwent high-risk surgery
* obtained the written informed consent
* patients under general anesthesia and mechanical ventilation
Exclusion Criteria:
* Patients with cardiac arrhythmias
* Patients \< 18 years
* Patients with a body mass index \> 40
* Patients undergoing surgery with an open thorax, neurosurgery or emergency surgery
