Sound, musical and music are the means used to support, maintain or improve a person's physical and mental health.\n\nThe patients involved in the study are patients cared at the ICM for advanced cancer in a palliative situation and requiring full hospitalization or on an outpatient basis.\n\nThe aim is to assess the impact of music therapy on the pain of these patients. The patient is proposed to participate in a music therapy session. Before this session, the music therapist will assess the pain and the presence of symptoms with the patient.\n\nFollowing this exchange, she will define the device best suited to his expectations and his needs and will propose his a relaxation session induced by music.\n\nAfter the session the music therapist will assess with the patient the pain and the presence of symptoms.\n\nThe patient's feelings and satisfaction about this music therapy session as well as his possible wish to participate in another session will also be evaluated."}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Male/female over 18 years old\n* Patient cared for at the ICM for advanced cancer followed by the Mobile Palliative and/or Pain Care Team\n* Patient with pain score \\>= 3 (cancer related)\n* Patient who accepts a music therapy session\n* Patient having expressed his oral non-opposition\n* Patient able to communicate\n* Patient affiliated to the French Social Security System.\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* Patient with uncorrected hearing loss to normal\n* Patient under guardianship, curatorship or safeguard of justice'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT05315427', 'acronym': 'MSPD', 'briefTitle': 'Impact of Music Therapy on Pain in Patients Treated for Advanced Cancer', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': "Institut du Cancer de Montpellier - Val d'Aurelle"}, 'officialTitle': 'Impact of Music Therapy on Pain in Patients Treated for Advanced Cancer', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'PROICM 2021-10 OMS'}, 'secondaryIdInfos': [{'id': '2021-A02020-41', 'type': 'OTHER', 'domain': 'ID RCB number of competent autority in France'}]}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'type': 'EXPERIMENTAL', 'label': 'Evaluation of the impact of music therapy on the pain of patients', 'description': 'One music therapy session', 'interventionNames': ['Other: one music therapy session']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'one music therapy session', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'Edmonton Symptom Assessment System (ESAS) scale (before and after music therapy session), Numerical pain scale (before and after music therapy session)', 'armGroupLabels': ['Evaluation of the impact of music therapy on the pain of patients']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '34298', 'city': 'Montpellier', 'country': 'France', 'facility': 'Institut du Cancer de Montpellier', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 43.61093, 'lon': 3.87635}}], 'overallOfficials': [{'name': 'Caroline GALLAY', 'role': 'STUDY_CHAIR', 'affiliation': "Institut du Cancer de Montpellier - Val d'Aurelle"}]}, 'ipdSharingStatementModule': {'ipdSharing': 'NO'}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': "Institut du Cancer de Montpellier - Val d'Aurelle", 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
