Many recent studies insist on the need to apply a so-called "protective" strategy of intraoperative ventilation, which combines the use of recruitment manoeuvres, reduced tidal volume (Vt) (6-8ml/kg) and positive expiratory pressure (PEEP) to prevent these phenomena. However, the setting of PEEP remains debated and several authors agree on the need to individualize ventilatory parameters, particularly in obese patients, without describing the individualization tools.\n\nIn the ICU, it has been shown that electrical impedance tomography (EIT) can be used to individualise the PEEP level in a simple and non-invasive way. Therefore, we wish to determine whether the use of this technique during general anaesthesia allows for the individualization of PEEP, and whether the value determined is correlated with the body mass index (BMI).'}, 'eligibilityModule': {'sex': 'ALL', 'stdAges': ['ADULT', 'OLDER_ADULT'], 'minimumAge': '18 Years', 'samplingMethod': 'NON_PROBABILITY_SAMPLE', 'studyPopulation': 'Surgical Patients', 'healthyVolunteers': False, 'eligibilityCriteria': 'Inclusion Criteria:\n\n* Adult patient\n* Patient who received general anesthesia with orotracheal intubation.\n* Patient who has undergone surgery of the following types: : abdominal surgery by laparotomy or laparoscopy, emergency or scheduled\n\nExclusion Criteria:\n\n* NA'}, 'identificationModule': {'nctId': 'NCT04439604', 'acronym': 'PEPTI', 'briefTitle': 'Impact of Body Mass Index on Positive End-expiratory Pressure Guided by Electrical Impedance Tomography for Patients Under General Anaesthesia', 'organization': {'class': 'OTHER', 'fullName': 'Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Dijon'}, 'officialTitle': 'Impact of Body Mass Index on Positive End-Expiratory Pressure Guided by Electrical Impedance Tomography for Patients Under General Anesthesia: A Retrospective Observational Study', 'orgStudyIdInfo': {'id': 'NOWOBILSKI 2019'}}, 'armsInterventionsModule': {'armGroups': [{'label': 'patient undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia', 'interventionNames': ['Other: regional ventilation monitoring']}], 'interventions': [{'name': 'regional ventilation monitoring', 'type': 'OTHER', 'description': 'regional ventilation monitoring', 'armGroupLabels': ['patient undergoing surgery under general anaesthesia']}]}, 'contactsLocationsModule': {'locations': [{'zip': '21000', 'city': 'Dijon', 'country': 'France', 'facility': 'Chu Dijon Bourgogne', 'geoPoint': {'lat': 47.31344, 'lon': 5.01391}}]}, 'sponsorCollaboratorsModule': {'leadSponsor': {'name': 'Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Dijon', 'class': 'OTHER'}, 'responsibleParty': {'type': 'SPONSOR'}}}}
